Delta Dental of Tennessee Response to the COVID-19 Impact for Dental Offices

As health care providers, you know the importance of protecting the health and safety of everyone as much as possible. We know you are facing unprecedented challenges and we want to help you with the purchase of supplies through Operation #SmilesMatter. This grant program provides funds for Tennessee dentists to help you acquire much needed supplies, equipment, and technology as you reopen your practice following COVID-19-related closures. For more information on this program, click the button below.

For more prompt processing of your claims, we recommend you submit claims through the Dental Office Toolkit (DOT) or other electronic clearinghouses. If you do not currently have a DOT account and are interested in setting one up, click here. We have several DOT tutorials on our website, including one that provides step-by-step instructions on submitting a claim. If you need direct assistance with DOT, contact Toolkit support at 1-866-356-0301.

All patient information, including benefits and eligibility, pretreatment estimates and more, is available in DOT as well as through our interactive voice response and faxback services at 1-800-223-3104.

Please note we are temporarily making allowances for teledentistry. Unless there is a specific exclusion per a group contract, Delta Dental of Tennessee will benefit D0140 (Problem Focused Examination) whether provided in a dental office or virtually, effective March 20, 2020, until further notice.
